The cracked effect and texture is brought to life in our textiles by our artisans through a process that commences with a thin layer of corn porridge (Sadza) being applied to cotton fabric that is woven by our artisans. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe porridge is used to create the hand drawn designs\/prints and is left to dry under the African sun. Once dry, excess porridge paste is scrapped off and the painting and curing process is undertaken which results in the beautiful colour palettes in our Zimbabwe batik collection.
